hi all,
i've done a search for this on this site and the internet. solutions have been proposed but its still not working.
the problem: i'm running xp pro and IIS. when i open a database to make changes, then close it, i get 'Provider (0x80004005)Unspecified error'. someone mentioned a workaround where you create another folder to keep your database in, but you shouldnt have to do this. its probably a case of security issues or something. can anyone tell me how i can fix this? i've noticed i cant change the security permissions on my database folder. this probably has something to do with it.
many thanks in advance.

hi
thanx for replying. i did see this solution, but i just couldnt find the 'environment' tab, and so thought this was for a diferent operating system.
i did get it sorted in the end. it was to do with security permissions. i just licked a few random button and it started working. i'll know for next time.

Also having the same problem.
The environment tab would be under Advanced - Environment Variables.

I tried this, but it is not working. and am still looking for a solution.
