I am trying to add a due date to a spread sheet. I would like to be able to enter a date in the format of my choice to a cell and have the adjacent cell calculate a date 6 months after. For example, say I enter a date of Oct 03 in cell C23. I want D23 to display whatever month is 6 months after that automatically, April 04 in this case. I have tried using EDATE but always get a response of #NAME? regardless of the date I use.

Can you help with this?

Thank you,
Stevin

#Name? indicates that you don't have the analysis tool pak installed.

This is from the help file

If this function is not available, run the Setup program to install the Analysis ToolPak. After you install the Analysis ToolPak, you must enable it by using the Add-Ins command on the Tools menu.

I'd first go to the Add-Ins and just see if the Analysis TookPak is checked.

Cool. I've run into that before with other functions in the Analysis TookPak. The real problem for me came a year later when I shared the spreadsheet with someone else and couldn't figure out why it didn't work on their machine.
