Well... me and a million other California consumers and businesses that aquired MS Windows, MS-DOS, Office, Word, Excel, Works Suite or Home Essentials between February 18, 1995 and December 15, 2001 for use in California.

This settlement will resolve private lawsuits about whether MS violated California antitrust and unfair competition laws.

I received the bennefits form in the mail which outlined the qualifying products. No proof of purchase (POP) was required on the above mentioned products. Additional product purchases during this time frame would also be eligable with POP.

The settlement is to be paid directly to each qualifying consumer by voucher to be used toward the purchase of desktop, laptop or tablet computers, printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, pointing devices (e.g. a mouse or trackball) and generally available software made by any manufacturer.

Let us know when you get a coupon worth some money. I suspect that, as usual with these things, the lawyers will get all the money.
