Hi

I registered a website and want to make this website for my girlfriend as her birthday gift. So please help! Her birthday is 10/28 so I really need this done before the 28th. I have windows 2000 advance server running on my computer. I think I setup my IIS correctly because If you type the ip of my computer you can basically access my web server from anywhere. I think I have problem setting the DNS. What I did are the followings:

I change the name server from the website where I registered my domain to point to my name server.
Then, I setup my the fowarding zone, reverse zone and name server on my server. If everything is setup correct, I should be able to type www.mydomain.com and I should be able to access my webpage. However, when I do that it only works on my server but not on any other computers. Can someone please help me! Thank you very much.

It takes a while for a DNS entries to propagate through the DNS system, which is what is almost certainly happening here. Domain Servers cache information, and it takes a while before they dump their cache and recheck the original DNS server. It can take a few days, but most of the time it will be working within a few hours.
