Why , when i cut text from a word or notepad document and then paste it into the HTML view of FP 2002 i do not get an exact representation of what i cut.
Plain text gets mauled by all kinds of formating code
If it is HTML, it never pastes it as is, it always adds other formating code.
Is there some setting i need to change within FP? Or is this a function of what i am cutting from?

Thanks all!

When cutting from Microsoft Office programs there is a lot of formatting code that gets included. If you want to escape that you can paste the content to something like Notepad and then copy and paste from there. Another method built into FP is to use the Edit ¦ Paste Special... command, and click the Normal Paragraphs radio button. That will remove most, if not all formatting, depending on what you're pasting.

For me, transferring the text to Notepad and then transferring it to FP works fine...if a bit clumsily.
