This is a baisc question and perhaps has already been answered somewhere else...

I have set up a search page in Frontpage and have recalculated the hyperlinks, republished my site, however the search engine is still picking up pages that have been deleted from the site. It think this may be because they contain words that are still included in the site.

Does anyone know how to stop this happening?

Did you recalculate hyperlinks on the server's end? If not, give that a try. Also, make sure none of the deleted pages still exist on the server. I've had FP miss deleting those on occasion.

Hi

Thanks Poppy122. How do I recalculate the links on the server?

On FP - Go to Tools - Recalculate Hyperlinks.

Open the live site with Frontpage.

Thanks - didn't even know you could open the live site in frontpage - derrrr!

Now another thing - the _private folder does not show in the live site, but I know it is there, cause when I look in file manager on the cpanel you can see it. The other directories with _ show, so cna't understand why this one is not there. Any ideas?
