Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me. I am trying to create a new web in FrontPage 2000 just as I have many times before. Now, when I clicke "new web" I am now getting this error message:

Unable to create a disk-based web at "C: Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Webs" because its parent web would not be a disk-based web. Create the disk-based web elsewhere, outside of your web servers document hierarchy.

I have also removed and reinstalled MS Office and FrontPage two times already and still I am having the same problem. It seems that FrontPage is treating my computer as a server or something according to the error message above. I have also disabled the network and tried it and it still will not let me create a new web.

More info about my system:
I have a XP Windows operating system.
I have my computer networked to my other home computer.

To my knowledge, I have never operated my computer as a server. Why is FronPage now giving me these errors?

That can be a bit of a pain sometimes. When it works, it works. When it stops working, that's it. Kaput.

I've gotten around the problem by creating a new FP web, copying all the files over from the folder in question, then renaming the new web. But you have to publish this seperately and can't insert it back into the old FP website. But you have to publish to www.mysite.com/newfolder/
