Does anybody know how to remove editable attributes?
I've tried removing the comments Dreamweaver uses, but then I get an error when I save the template file (dwt) and when it tries to update the other files who use the template: "Inconsistent Region Names".

12: No, not yet. I've been trying to figure this out myself, as I often times will change a template and want to delete some editable regions. Haven't found out yet.

That Region will have to be resolved in the update process.

When presented with the 'Inconsistent Region Names' box (during the update) select the Region and then the drop down box and choose 'Nowhere'.

assuming you are on the dwt file you can just go under the modify menu choose templates then remove template markup and it should take out the region for you

It takes out all or nothing, I think this is the problem.

i don't have that issue, i select the template region on the dwt file in design view that i wish to remove and use the remove template markup and it only removes that region not anything else... dmx2k4/OS X10.3

You are right syktek. The design view selection will allow a single region to be removed. However when you update the site you will get a unresolved region error that will have to be pointed to 'nowhere' during the update.
