Do I use Contribute, Plone, or what?

Hi All,

I have a website for a client that has been running for a year, and I've been doing the updating. I've used Dreamweaver.

Now, THEY want to do the content updating. In other words, change text, photos, but leave the templates in place. So this is what I'm looking for...

I'm looking for a program that will keep the templates/structure untouchable, while the content like schedules, and other simple content can be edited by a complete idiots with no knowledge of html.

So is Macromedia Contribute the way to go? Has anyone used this? Or is there another (hopefully cheaper) program that allows editing for idiots? What is the best way these days for allowing noobies to edit a website like it were like a word processor or something? How is Plone?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Brian

I used MoveableType successfully for doing that a few years ago. I found it a slight pain to install, took me most of a day (I was new to it).

I've got to second martinibuster on this...I've got a bunch of sites on MT now, none of them blogs, and they work quite well as a CMS.
