Help! Dreamweaver Sees a Directory as a File

because the name has a dot in it

Hello All,

I'm using Dreamweaver MX 2004 and my client has a directory on the server called sitename.com. Since it has a .com in the name, Dreamweaver thinks it is a file instead of a directory so it gives me an error when I try to open it using their Secure FTP.

Is there any way I can change the settings in Dreamweaver so it recognizes it as a directory?

Thanks so much.

Sorry if I am missing the point, but could you not just rename the directory? DW will then perform a sitewide change to links to ensure there is no path disruption.
