I have built a web site and it looks great so I opptimized it all and set up a file for it and sent over to dream weaver to setup my links and up load it to the web....! But when I click on the links I get alot of white boxes that soon go away as the site loads on my computer but other people are having a hard time to down load the site they say it starts to load and then times out I'm kinda new to web building but I know a site should have a smother transition then all of these white boxes has this ever happened to any of you guys or can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and if their is a quick fix for my problem or do I have to rebuild the site all over again with only dreamweaver I hope someone out their can help me ...?
Thank You

I'm not sure of all the steps you took to "send it to Dreamweaver", so, did you:

Convert your pages to HTML from an image?
Delete any extraneous images?
Use images to contain text? - Huge No No
How did you "Optimize" it?
If it is taking a while to load on your computer it will definetely take too long on the web.

Dreamweaver has a feature that is found in the bottom right corner of the document window that indicates the size of the file and time to download that looks something like 10k/3sec, that is usually set to a 56k modem. What does yours say when you have a page loaded? According do a few aticles on this site it should be between 5-10k and no more than 4 seconds.

Also, maybe try exporting individual optimized images from Image Ready or whatever image editor and then insert them into you html using Dreamweaver. Fireworks and Dreamweaver work really well together and can simplify this process greatly, so if you have the studio you may want to learn how to do this. That's another article.

Hope this helps a little.
