My website <Sorry, no URLs. See TOS [webmasterworld.com]>
looks great in IE but in Netscape, the tables and spacings are horrendous.

I've got the cell spacings set to occupy 100 percent of table spaces and etc., but they don't do that in Netscape, the fonts are wrong (they should all be Arial), the text isn't wrapped around the photos and the photos and text aren't where I've put them.

I checked my FP settings, and I'm configured for IE and Netscape, supposedly.

?

Thanks-
Ali

First off, welcome to Webmasterworld. I encourage you to read the tos as it will help you get the most out of webmasterworld. ;)

  • What versions of netscape and ie are you testing on?
  • What OS are you testing these on?

Older versions of netscape don't comply with modern css standards, etc.

IE is more forgiving of coding errors and anomalies. So testing it in netscape is good for troubleshooting.

Another troubleshooter is to upload your files to the w3c code validator, or download something like htmlkit to help diagnose possible errors (note: don't ever let a software automatically "fix" your code).

I had the same problem my site was perfect in IE but other browsers firebird, opera, mozilla, ect. I was using FP and I found out that FP uses alot of bloated code which I had to remove may I suggest Tidy its a great way to get the bloated code out hope this works for you

martinibuster-

Thanks for suggesting the TOS; My site doesn't work in any Netscape; I've tried it in 6.0 and 7.2
