I checked the server error log - but no joy. Basically the files we are editing are either losing all or some of the information saved within them. This is happening at random i.e the problem clears on the second attempt - however sometimes all the information is lost and we have to reinput all over again. We can go days and sometimes more worrying hours without this happening. And we are not sure whether the problem lies with the pair (our hosting) server, WebEdPro or is a combination of both. Does anyone know of why this may be occurring?
Our hosting server is pair - using Unix FreeBSD 4.8
Many thanks for any input received
Alina
I had used WebEditPro 3.0, then 3.1, then 3.11 beginning in about 1993 or 1994. It worked great for years.... BUT about 6 months ago I started having the same sort of oddball situations you're describing. I struggled with it because it's comfortable to continue with something so familiar...
I got NO support from the people who now own WEP. I think it may be an orphan now. In any case, with no support the only option was uninstalling/reinstalling, which seemed to fix it for a while, but then it would begin all over again.
I gave up on WEP just this month and bought TopStyle Pro 3.10. WONDERFUL program, GREAT move. It's current with the new html specs and CSS, has support for DHTML and XHTML, and the folks at TopStyle are SUPER to work with. At $79.95 US it's MORE than a bargain!

Your post is clearly an advert.
I have found WebEdPro to be excellent. Has any one else experience the problems Alina is having?
Why we do not know - we are talking to the WebEdPro people about this. Our website is being hosted by pair - but they checked their logs and have come up with nothing.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
