HI,

I set up 2 forms in Frontpage to email results but get server extensions not installed when they are (I checked), so I tried a custom form handler with "http://www.********x.co.uk/cgi-bin/mailform" in the action field... now I'm getting HTTP 404 not found error. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Cath99

The FP extensions are an issue for your host. Sometimes they need to be reinstalled, or sometimes they just aren't configured properly.

If you're using a custom form handler are you sure it's set up properly? Make sure the CGI has the proper permissions and that it is configured properly to work on your account.

there are online tutorials that explain step by step how to configure a form in frontpage like this. Just search on your favourite search engine for "frontpage email form" you should find what your looking for. If not I have such forms on 2 sites that I have developed if you need some more specifics.
