Hi everyone: Within the last 6 mos, I have started using DW MX. I have gotten the site built and on the remote server, only I'm trying to set it up to use dynamic data now. I have gone through the first two steps, but its asking me to set up a testing server. I'm a little confused because I thought I could use the root folder for the website, which is on our local server. But, I chose that and no check mark is placed next to that step and it won't let me continue. Any suggestions? Thank you!

What is 'your local server'? Maybe post a little more information, such as exactly what you have and have not filled out under the Testing Server section of DW.
It's all pretty simple, but you've not given a lot to go on - what is the source for your dynamic data, for example?

Well, the company I work for has a network of computers and a server that we all work from. I assumed that was my local server. (Wow, you can really tell that I'm new at this)

You'll need to establish whether or not your 'server' is running a web-server (it may just be serving up files), which you'll need to view your web pages locally, along with locally installed modules for the dynamic side of things (be it perl, PHP, whatever).
Ask your network admin. what is running locally. Again, you'll need a fair bit more information before we can help you with the DW side of things.

I am having a similiar problem. I have created a site, and I need to set up the testing server to use dynamic data on the page. I am given a 4 step process (1 create site, 2 choose document type, 3 set up testing server, 4 press the + button and choose record sheet). When I choose 3, set up testing server I am taken to the site definition box, and the advanced tab.

In this tab I have selected
Server Model - PHP MySQL
Access - Local Network
Testing server folder - S:\Documents\database
URL Prefix - [localhost...]

When I click OK, it does not allow me on to step 4 on adding dynamic data.

I am also new to this, so If I have posted in the wrong spot, I apologise, please point me in the right direction.
