DW MX and webassist paypal toolkit

problems after installing

After installing the webassist paypal toolkit extension for Dreamweaver MX I noticed that the extension had mysteriously put some code and graphics (add to cart/view cart) on various existing web pages. When I uninstall the extension the added graphics are removed. Seems weird. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

Do the Webassist support pages offer any ideas? I couldn't connect to their site when I tried.

I have also tried and find the webassist site is down or something, will try again later.
If anyone else can shed some light it would be great.
