Hi, I am currently running a website that has IIS 5.0 and im using FrontPage XP to do all the editing of the pages in.

I have been able to connect to the webserver with FrontPage to create/edit files. I have one page in which users fill out a form, and the results are sent in an email. I am getting an error saying 'cannot run frontpage server extensions on this page'.

In researching why i was getting this error, I went to a website which checks to see if I have the server extensions installed, and it said they weren't. I also checked on the webserver under Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components, and looked under IIS and saw that Frontpage 2000 server extensions wasnt installed (check box was unchecked).

I called up the place who is hosting my server and they said that the Frontpage 2000 extensions were installed because I could use frontpage.

So, is there any way, by looking at the files on the webserver, that I can determine if the extensions are installed or not? And if I find out they are, how do i get rid of the error i mentioned above?

Any reply will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe FrontPage XP requires 2002 version of the extensions on the server. If that is what you have try uninstalling and then re-installing the extensions on the server through your control panel.
