Dreamweaver and FTP preview

My co-worker uses the preview function for her PHP scripts. The temporary files get uploaded to the FTP server and then displays the file in the browser. When we go back and look at the FTP server we see a duplicate file for each preview she did with a .LCK at the end of the file. What is going on? It really makes a mess!

I've had some trouble using the FTP feature in dreamweaver. Doesn't always
upload properly. Use CuteFTP.

Using the FTP sync can be a nit of a nightmare with DW.

Personally i use WS-FTP, have been for years. Irrelavent of whatever platform i'm editing on, i always use an external FTP.
