Dreamweaver MX to ColdFusion 5

Will they connect?

We are slowly starting to move to the MX development platform. What I would like to do is integrate DWMX with our current version of ColdFusion. The problem is that I can't get it to connect with the RDS server.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I suppose I should have asked if it was backwards compatible first. ;-) Still any help is appreciated.

Hi Strange,

This is a late posting, but here goes nothing....

Yes, DWMX is backwards compatible with CF5+, and I have it configured on my machine OK. You need to setup a site, pointing the "live" version to your testing server, and ensure that you have the datasource setup for remote access (should be the standard setup on IIS, unless your db guy disconnected it). Just make sure that all the steps are OK, and you should be fine.

Just out of interest, what error msg do you get?

Sanenet,

The problem is that we have multiple sites that we need to work on. CFStudio 5 just lets you bring up all the drives and RDS connections. I am assuming that each site would need to be set up individually in DWMX...

The error says: Dreamweaver cannot determin the remote server time. The Select Newer and Syncronize commands will not be available.

This comes up after two errors that say CLIENT and then there is some HTML tags in it.

Any other help would be appreciated.
