its reverting back to previously saved versions

Hi all
I've been using Notepad to build my site and kept finding (usually after I've uploaded my changes) that it leapfrogs back to previously saved versions. Thought it was me, so I started to save after just about every tweek.

Anyway finally it became clear that it wasn't me so I downloaded HTML editor 1.5 and started laying out a new page figuring how I'd set it out doing headings etc and then it happened again. I'm still saving every little change and it went back about 5 saves. This can't continue, it could have been content instead of a few headings.

So any ideas? I'm a bit concerned that it may be a bigger problem...

Not sure, has the file got a read only attribute?

Other than that is the page Template based? though i certainly don't know off any template's that can't be edited or saved in Notepad.

When you say save is this on your local machine?
