I am wondering if there is a way to have the contets of a cell change when you click on a button or hyperlink on a frontpage 2000 page. I am trying to have the old "frames" effect, i.e. if you click on a button in one cell, another cell will display a different page. Does it need to be done with code, or can I do it via the built in menus?
I am on a FrontPage supported host, so SSI is working.
Any info would be helpful.

It sounds as if you are trying to achieve the DHTML show/hide layer effect which will allow you to display alternating content in an assigned location. I don't have FrontPage 2000, so I cannot answer your question as to whether FP includes this script or not. I am certain one of our FrontPage gurus will be along to help in that regard.
Try doing a site search for hide layers using the site search tool (link is at upper left of page), you will find a number of threads relating to this topic.
Basically, the premise is this: you have two layers stacked on top of each other, you hide the one to display the other.
Im running Frontpage 00 (or XP) and papabear more or less hut it on the nose from what I remember of frontpage. It will be under DHTML effects but their list is hardly exhaustive.
Also, the code BLOAT (too much code) generated by Frontpage is immense. Best thing to do is toy around with frontpage so you can visually see what you want and then ask someone for the "proper" code :)
There is a thread a while back that started......i think it was called "bare bones rollover" started by Tedster, and I cutted and pasted what FP produced.....basically it was twice the size
The link to that page, if any of it may prove usefule is [webmasterworld.com...]
if that aint as useful as you want it to be....use the site search at the top and search for "bare bones rollover"...there are a few threads to check out.
