removing comments

Is there a way of removing -> <!--DWLayoutTable-->
whenever DMWV creates a table?

Edit > Replace> <!--DWLayoutTable--> With > <leave blank>

Yes. That is one option. However, I would like that comment not even to appear.
I look everywhere in the preferences, but I can't seem to find that option.

Command -> Clean up HTML (then click on Dreamweaver special markup).

The markup is to tell Dreamweaver what is going on when you are "drawing" tables. Once you have your design finalized you can remove it.

I believe this is stuff you have to clean up after you've finalized your design.
