free ftp editor for win and linux

Does anybody know good free ftp clients with integrated editors? Something like [ftpeditor.com...]

I need one for windows and one for linux.

I'm desperate. I even considered writing a simple one by myself.

Have you tried FTp Commander, not sure if it works with linux but its free, and you cant turn down a freebee, it works for windows. :)
