an Altenative to dreamweaver

Hi, I would really like to find a new editor to do my pages. The only reason I use Dreamweaver is for the sites capbilities. Is there anyother editor for mac that does tha same this as sites? like saves all of the fiels on your computer and shows and connects to the ftp and uploads on save and everyhting that it does

so if anyone has a good editor to program many langauges like dreamweaver but just text no stupid disgn view or stuff to do it for you, then please tell me

I have been using HTML-Kit for years. You can do many languages in it and it won't destroy your source like front page or some other editors.

I feel daft saying it, but just in case it needs to be said....
In Dreamweaver, you can of course turn off Design view and just work in text view if you want... Just pick Code from the View menu.

Well I use vim :-) that should work on a mac aswell as it is a form of BSD..
I used Dreamweaver for a long time.. but vim is much better, it is non graphical and works great.. I really don't miss dreamweaver anymore..

I am a Dreamweaver user but like many others work in the code window mainly. But it is nice to be able to find a specific error in pages of code without searching to find that place. I think that is their value. It is also easier to add links and images but always with an eye on the source window. I have been using 3 but just bought 8 and trying it out.

I'm too a dream weaver user, mostly code view, though design view helps edit content quickly. very good program.
