images and layers

I need to know if there are nay short cuts or ways I can get my images and layers to stay where I place them on the design. When I place them in the design it looks good but when I go to another computer to view the site the images and layers are not where they appear to be.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to WebmasterWorld ddl1970.

It depends on how you're laying things out. My first word of advice would be to avoid relying entirely on the WYSIWYG window to see where you're placing things. Use an alternate browser like FireFox or Opera to check your positioning.

There are no WYSIWYG editors that will make pixel perfect layouts in the editor that I've seen. Some come closer than others, but because of different browsers, operating systems, video cards, screen resolutions out there this is a lot tougher than it may seem. A WYSIWYG will help you get things in the right general area, but you can't expect the precision you would get in a word processor. The web and the printed page don't work the same. For a lot of people starting out in web design that's often a tough hurdle to overcome.
