I accidentally hit something on the keyboard, and now all the formatting signs are showing up (like the backwards P for a paragraph, etc).

How do I get rid of it?!

Ctrl + /

It is the Reveal Tags command and can be found in the View menu.

Thank you!

You're quite welcome!

You'll find that working in Reveal Tags mode has its benefits. There are quite a few neat features that are presented when you Ctrl + /.

Care to share any? I've really only noticed the paragraph signs and the return (shift+enter) sign.

I also must admit sheepishly that I didn't see the button on the toolbar which turns on/off this feature, either. Right in front of my face and I miss it!

Oh, you are referring to the Show All command, not the Reveal Tags command. They are different. Show All (Ctrl+Shift+*) will show you where your <br> and ending block elements are or these ¶. You can also add that button to the toolbar if you don't want to use the keyboard shortcut. I always work with my Show All command selected, always.

Reveal Tags is entirely different. Ctrl + / and you'll see what I'm referring to. This will show you all of your html tags in normal mode. It let's you see the html structure of your page without switching to html view. It also makes cutting and pasting a breeze with no room for error, especially missing starting and ending tags.

Ah, didn't know about that!

Good point about cutting and pasting -- missing tags occurs all too often in FP, so I think I'll start keepint it on. Thank you!
