Help, I'm having a few problems getting FP2003 working.

With my old setup - FP2000/PWS I could edit and save my pages 'on the server' and click on the preview button in FP's toolbar to see the results in my browser.

I can't get this to work on FP2003/IIS. I've created a virtual directory in IIS which points to the files on my C drive, and using a browser I can navigate round my site.

I can edit and save the files on C: using FP, but if I click the preview button in FP the browser displays the file not the server version.

I guess I need to edit and save via IIS, can anyone throw some light on how to do this?

Doh, I haven't installed the FP server extensions!

Are the ones for FP2000, the most upto date?

I can't find ones for FP2003 on Microsoft's website?

OK, I've installed the FP2002 server extensions.

When I go into Internet Information Server, and try to create a server extension 2002 web, I get a message saying 'you are not authorized to view this page'

The same thing happens if I try to use the Sharepoint administrator.

I can't create a new website on IIS with FP either.

This is driving me mad, can anyone suggest what I should try next?

There are no FP 2003 server extensions. Future versions of FP are geared toward use of the SharePoint technology on Windows Server 2003. You didn't mention what version server you were using.

I'm using ISS5.1 on XP Pro with SP2.

I downloaded and installed the FP2002 server extensions which include Sharepoint.

From the ISS management consule I can create a new virtual directory.

But I can't create a 2002 server extensions web.
The server tells me I don't have the required permissions and I should login as an administrator - I am an admin, but I tried anyway!

An additional piece of information:

ISS says sharepoint V 5.0.2.2623 is installed.

To access Sharepoint and FP extensions, you MUST have a Windows login password.

I left mine blank!

Anyway I've added a password and I can now access the FP2002 extensions and create subwebs.
