Hello,
I've recently gotten started on designing websites for other people. I have a client who wants to have the ability to update content on his site whenever he wants. He has absolutely no knowledge of HTML and he just wants to be able to add new pictures/articles/etc on a regular basis without asking me to do it every time he wants to add on. I'm sure this is a common desire. Anybody have suggestions about a simple program I could use to get this accomplished? I have looked at a few but don't want to spend $150 if it is not going to do what I need. Anything free or reasonable worth trying? Thanks.

I would look at a stable open-source CMS that has good user permission controls and good usability. I've been using WebGUI for some years and have successfully implemented with clients/organizations who know little about HTML, etc.

You can use blog or CMS software to do this nicely. He'll need someone to set up the initial site, but after that he can maintain the content from a browser window.

I have the same question. I need to create a few websites for family and friends and need it to be easy enough for them to change/update. I was looking at Yahoo SiteBuilder. Anyone have experience with it? What are the advantages/disadvantages?
