FrontPage, view problem, Normal, FP 98, FP2002

Hi,
We have just moved from FP98 to FP2002. When users open a page in Normal view, they are momentarily presented with the complete page, which then seems to "Refresh" and then we are left with just the Include, and sometimes things like bullet points showing. When we check the HTML code all the info is there. If we edit the HTML and then Preview the changes show, and if we then go to Normal then we can see all the page content. However, if we then save then the content disappears again.

Has anyone else seen this kind of problem? I guess it's some kind of encoding problem between FP98 and FP2002....

Any help will be very much appreciated!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld NivDrummer.

I'm not sure what causes this, but keep in mind that the F5 key will refresh things for you. In Normal/Design view click somewhere in the page (to put focus there) and hit F5. That should force FP to refresh the WYSIWYG view.

Thanks, but I've tried that. When you hit refresh the content appaears for a second and then disappears again.

Go to code view. Right-click anywhere on the page and select "Reformat HTML."

This is a tool in FP2003. But I can't remember if it was availabe in 2002.

Not sure it would help, but it's bailed me out a of problems a couple of times.
