Hi,

I am using Frontpage 2003 as my web design software.

My OS is XP pro.

Using Frontpage to upload to [......] I cannot publish to any of my sites hosted on an NT server with FP extensions using a Local Area Network connection.

When I try to publish using a dial-up connection, there is no problem whatsoever.

I also have no problems publishing to sites on a UNIX server, or sites on NT servers without FP extensions using the LAN connection. FTP`ing is also no problem using the LAN.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be, and how I can succesfully publish to a site hosted on NT with FP extensions using a LAN connection?

Thanks

bill

Welcome to WebmasterWorld juakali.

If you're able to publish to all those other servers from your LAN then the server extensions on that problem site might need to be reinstalled.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the message.

I`ve already asked the tech support of my hosting company to re-install the extensions for the problem sites, which they did, but that did not solve the problem.

They even moved one of the sites to a different NT server, but that also made no difference.

I have tried on numerous pc's in different internet cafes, all of which are connecting through a LAN, and the same error occurs.

Thanks again for your suggestion.
