hi there,
I need to test how long does it takes for my website to download, depending on the internet connection speed. Ive read that dreamweaver has this feature, would there be a difference if i try to run a test in a DSL connection and set the dreamweaver to the test it at 28 kbps? Im going to run the test in our office and im concern if there would be a different effect if i test it on an actual dial-up stand alone pc compared to a client pc running in a DSL connection and set up in a network environment.

Graci!

dreamweaver has a feature that will tell you the file size of the document and how long it will take to download on a certain connection. in the lower right hand corner of your dw document you will see 1K/1 sec. meaning file size is only 1K and will take 1 second to download on whatever setting you have set in the preferences.

Preferences>Status Bar is where you will find the speed settings. So if you are looking for dsl/cable use 1500.

hope this answers your question
