What i was aiming for:
My mum wants to update a few sections of text on her sites without having to bother me. i've tried a load of wysiwyg web based editors but they either dont' work or don't seem to be able to open files?
quoted from someone in another thread
Check out Page Publisher from interactivetools.com. It's commercial software, but only costs $99. You take an existing website and then define areas which can be edited by the client. They log in and get a wysiwyg editor that lets them modify specific chunks of text on various pages that you define. It's a great tool when you create a website for a client and then hand it over for them to maintain and update.
now that would be absolutely perfect! if it were free.
So, does anyone know of a free version of the above or an online editor that you can open up in a browser window and it can then open files on the hosting account
thanks
