I am trying to put a few forms on my site, that will email me the results. When I do a test, instead of landing on the confirmatin page it takes me to:

[example.com...]

What does this mean?

Are there other better ways to add a form to a site?

What version of FrontPage are you using and what version of the FrontPage Extensions does your host have installed? I've not seen the nortbots issues since FP98.

Also, have you published your web yet? Or, are you viewing it locally?

IM using FP 2003. Im not sure about the extensions, but my hosting is with godaddy.

Are there better solutions to add a form to a page instead of using fp's feature?

Do you have the FP form set up to dump over to the confirmation page?

Try to create another form with just one input & put it to a confirmation page. Sometimes the form itself can be corrupted.

There are but they may not be as simple as the FP method of using forms.

If you are not previewing that form at the browser level, after the FP extensions have executed at the server, then I do believe you will receive the nortbots error.

Watch out in this case as FP has probably changed your form post action URI to one that contains the nortbots verbiage. This happens when trying to execute a form locally when it requires FP extensions (executed at the server) to preview the form content.

<form method="post" action="What's Here?">

Yah, I have it directing to a landing page after the form is submitted. I also made one main form and copy and pasted it into other pages wehre I needed the same fields. Perhaps this is the problem? Maby I should build each form from scratch for each page(only a few)

Also, I just tried to re-publish it and before it started to upload it said the following files: (listed pages with the form on it) will not work because the server you are publising to does not have Front Page servern extensions or sharepoint server extensions.

There you go - the FP extensions are corrupted. Contact the hosting compnay and ask them to fix that

I just uninstalled, then reinstalled them and I keep getting the same error. I have very similar forms on a different site (same host etc.) and they work fine. Not sure what is wrong.

Also, I keep getting this error (cant even publish the whole site)

"550 can not connect to [IP Address] - Connection Refused

I get this about 25% into publishing the site

Corey is right, you have to contact your ISP & tell them to enable the Frontpage extensions, at the same time you can have them give you the ability to re-enable them online so that you do not have to call them.

I used FrontPage for the last company I worked for & had this problem constantly....it's no big deal & can be fixed in a matter of minutes.

Good Luck
