A colleague has just posed a very interesting question, your views would be appreciated.
Say we have several product microsites all on seperate URL's. Although all the websites are based on the same design template the content is slighlty diferrent to reflect the specific product.
I realise that duplicate content will be penalised but what about the code?
Basically what I'm asking here is do Google and other SE's penalise sites that use the same design template and code?
Also, Am I right in saying that it would be dangerous to hyperlink all these sites to each other, Google would realise that they are all hosted on the same server and penalise us for SPAM.. I think!
