Hello,

I need some opinions. We are looking to incrase our tracking on users viewing our website. Currently we use AwStats which does provide us with a lot of information we are looking for. We would like to have a more indepth look at the users viewing our site and find out where they are going and where they are leaving. I am looking into a program called Web CEO and I was curious if anyone has used it before. Also, can anyone suggest a good program that they have used before?

I know this might get some posts from companies making this kind of software. If you post here I guarantee you that I will not purchase your software. I am looking for actual SEO's who have used these kinds of programs and their input on which ones worked good for them.

Thanks :)

Wes

Well there are quite a few web analytics tools out there, since that is what you need. Awstats is something that comes standard with all basic hosting packages. You should lookinto the following:
Urchin - www.urchin.com
Clicktracks - www.clicktracks.com
Websidestory - www.websidestory.com
Web Trends - www.webtrends.com

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to message us. thanks.

My company is using WebTrends and I consider it a very good tool. I normally use it on-line. Easy and fast enough. You can have a lot of reports and also match different periods.
Very positive.

Only 1 negative: I had a lot of problems when trying to download reports and save them (monthly) on local: there are some java plug-ins (generating Word-Excel-Pdf docs) never working on my PC ... but probably it's my PC! ;O)
