It's getting rediculous. Google does pick up my low frequency phrases, but my high frequecy keywords have been killed by google. Does this mean sandbox? Any special words of advice?
Thank you!
Tami
How old is your site? As you can see from the threads below, this is a common phenomenon.
My site has been up since 2001 and has 1240 links back according to bcentral and about 85 links back according to google. It has a pagerank of 4/10.
My competitor (main) has a pagerank of 2/10 and only abou 14 links back from google.
I'll read those articles and if I have any more whining to do, I'll post here again.
Thanks!
Does this mean sandbox
The verdict is still out on whether the sandbox even exists. Regardless, your site has been online for 4 years and is well past the sandbox age.
Each SE has a different, constantly changing algorithm that dictates the SERP. MSN and Yahoo! have been traditionally similar in their SERPs. Quite honestly, it’s best to think of this as a coincidence more than anything else.
Any special words of advice
Here’s what I do (in short):
Target each engine as an individual entity. Create a natural but comprehensive optimization strategy. Follow the strategy consistently and modify it were you feel there is need for improvement. Drink a lot of coffee and never get discouraged when a change in your strategy results in a drop in the SERPs instead of a gain. Chalk it up to experience and keep moving.
Mention your keywords near the top and/or bottom of a page for Google ranking.
If only it were that easy. ;)
My site is new and ive managed to get listed on MSN* with many search phrases [removed keywords]
unfortunately the same cant be said for google and yahoo where i dont figure. i already have 4k links back to my site listed on google.
sandbox perhaps?
when i created my site i made it configured exactly for google rankings, or i thought i did.
Maybe if im in the sandbox and i reappear i will zoom up the google rankings, ok i can dream.
Personally i prefer msn search results to googles, and im not being biased (truley). MSN has no need of a sandbox as everything i search for i get relevant results.
Pity more people dont use msn lol

[edit reason] changed Google to MSN per member request [/edit]
MSN is definitely more responsive. My pages on "edible magnetic widgets" are the best on the web, and they are #1 in MSN; Google doesn't seem to understand that there is a niche for edible magnetic widgets, and the top pages are about refrigerator magnets or underwear widgets.
Of course, I have a very narrow niche. If I had much competition, then the blackhats would be working their evil spells to make me invisible even on MSN and Yahoo.
