I have been experimenting with a form of collaborative ranking that rewards helpful and timely suggestions:

[cse.unsw.edu.au ]
[cse.unsw.edu.au ]

Any feedback is appreciated.

As an enthusiast about collaboration, I'm delighted to see your collaborative ranking search engine. And I would like to respect the posting guidelines by not linking to my site about collaboration.

Question (1): how can you train people to collaborate rather than cooperate?

Collaboration and Cooperation: Although these words have similar meanings, and are often used intechangeably, I like to make a clear distinction between them. Cooperation happens by accident, collaboration is is created with intention and purpose.

Question (2): People only collaborate when they are motivated to do so because they cannot accomplish their goals by themselves. What would motivate people to use your search engine?

Have you considered that your search engine can be used to help drive innovation? One of the problems with getting technologies adopted is that innovation is held back by the status quo. Your search engine can be a forum where new ideas can be made more visible.

By the way, I submitted my site to your search engine!
