(Sorry if this text is not in perfect English -- still learning your language!)

Let say I am the owner of a shoe store in Boston. Using Overture [inventory.overture.com], I found that my two main keywords are "shoe" and "Boston", but Overture don't make any difference between permutations or between plurals.

In fact, my clients will get different SERP if they use different permutation of the same keywords, or if the use plurals. Try yourself:

boston shoe
[google.com]
boston shoes [google.com]
shoe boston [google.com]
shoes boston [google.com]

My question: how can I know how many people are using each of these phrase for their internet search?

I tried Wordtracker, but it gives funny result (3 times more search for "cinderella of boston shoes" than for "boston shoes"? I don't believe this!)

Thanks for your help.

if you set up ppc's for each of them on an exact match on google, let it run for a while (so you have enough data to make a decision), then you should have a good idea of which ones are used the most. You'll spend a bit, but you'll get good data.

hope this helps
