Hi All,

Just thought I'd open this discusion;

Having come accross the Dublin Core Metadata (http://dublincore.org/) I Realised that these tags should really be incorported into meta tags, however it is apparent that noone else is practising this method and it is not discussed on any established research sites.

Your views please, do we think that this is the future of meta creation?

Many thanks.

No,
They have been about for years, and I have certainly never seen any perceptable improvement in rankings when using them in the past.
IMHO they just add code bloat, and destract me from the core seo.

However, i know of several sites still using them.....

Thanks Mohamed_E

The bit that struck me was

Dublin Core Metadata Editor
This service will retrieve a Web page and automatically generate Dublin Core metadata...

...errr if all the info can be automatically generated from the page, what does it add? :)
