<Title> sentence using a "." or no period

What are your comments ending your <Title> sentence with a period or without a period? Does it help Google recognize as a sentence or just a line of keywords?

I put a "." at the end of a title if the title sounds like a sentence.

I've read to stay away from punctuation in the title if possible, but it seems that it doesn't seem to matter much.

I think it reads better without a period. Some people might be expecting a file extension after the period.
