International-Localized engine referrals

I've split up my search engine referrals based on geographies - ex. google.fr and .it are Europe.

Now, I have a nice cross-section of % of search engine referrals from various areas. It's all interesting to know - and to optimize my own efforts but I'm looking for industry numbers to see if my cross-section matches up.

So, can anyone point me to stats on volumes of users that use for example google.com vs. google.fr?

I haven't seen anything published with that kind of information. I vaguely remember some discussions on the past regarding people comparing some stats from various country-specific search locations.

I think your best bet would be to see if you can find any sites that have their stats open to the public. There might have been some news articles that offered some stats on the subject but it seems that most of the juicy info that is released comes from non-english sources.
