Other Sites Traffic? Alexa spy?

Does anyone know of any tools available that will allow you to see (as much as possible) the traffic that other sites are receiving???

Sorry, that is not possible. You will need to between the users and the site to see those stats. If you were the ISP or the FBI or you had routers used by that website then you could spy on them. But no, there is no way to see the traffic.

Your best bet is to use Alexa and Google PR to guessimate. Or if you are really sneaky have them place an image on their site that loads off your site.

Some site use free site traffic apps that are open for anyone to see. Because they are free apps, the data can be a bit susupect, but its better than nothing

There are services that sit on large ISPs and monitor the traffic flow. They can give not only traffic volume, but also where the visitor came from, and where they went to.

However, I've seen some figures and I'm not too sure how accurate they are. Also, the system that I saw monitored a fairly skewed demographic, so the results were not entirely representative of overall traffic.

You'd be surprised at how many sites leave their web stats pages open for everyone to see. Also, there are some popular free tracking services that leave the stats open.

You usually won't luck out if you're trying to figure out what a specific site's traffic is, but if you dig, you can usually find stats on various sites in your topic area.
