Doorway pages

I would much appreciate it if a couple of people could sticky-mail me some examples of good doorway pages. I want to see some well-ranked examples so that I can get a feel for spotting them. I am also interested in how they link to the customer's website, how they avoid being orphan pages, and how they attain link popularity. If anyone wants to share their own work, THANKS! If not, any good examples are appreciated just as much.

Thanks Mike. I got the fundamentals down, but I would like to see "the real thing" in action if anyone has a couple minutes to spare. Please? Maybe it would help to give my word that I am NOT AT ALL affiliated with any search engine organization. Well, we have advertising space on Goto, but thats it.
