I guess two questions here. I understand stemming and I think it's a great addition to an algo. It allows your content to flow much more naturally. I can use start, starting and started instead of just start if that's what my keyword contains.
But I don't understand what a stemming tool does for me. It appears to just define words that are stems. But I speak English and I think I already know that. Am I missing something?
And I don't know which SEs employ stemming in their algorithms. Does anyone?
