Pay-Per-Click Banners in the UK

Is there such a thing?

Hello,

I am currently running an ad campaign across most UK PPC engines, as well as Google Adwords (which works really well).

What I want to know is are there any ppc banner opportunities across major uk portals? The PPC concept suits us fine, I would just like to get a more visual ad for the client, without going down the pay-per-impressions route, not at 0.4% conversion ratio!

Many Thanks

Martin

Hi Martin and welcome to Webmasterworld!!

I went to a half day conference last week which was looking at the various models.

I might have caught the wrong end of the stick but I got the impression that Ask Jeeves UK ran hybrid schemes whereby you ended up with banner ads but it was charged on a CPA (cost per action) basis.

It was the day of the tube strike and I had already walked about 6 miles that day.

A good media buyer should be able to let you know the options available, reading between the lines I got the impression the providers were keen to ensure they got the best deal on all their inventory and although budget will dictate a lot of things, you may be able to have the ads served up to suit you, rather than the other way round. There's no harm in asking!
