Hi everyone,
Just been looking at the bidsmart service offered by BTLooksmart. I'm wondering if anyone's had any success with this service?

Nope
25 search terms since day of launch and O clicks.
The same terms do well on espotting and oveture.

Woah, that sounds bad and begs the question: when did it launch?

Mind you, unless the launch date was today or to work out your search terms you just got a monkey to bash randomnly on your keyboard then I think this is a pretty good indicator of a PPC service that sucks.

I think it was about 6 weeks ago.
Dismal to date.

I guess thats 60 quid down the drain for you then.

Maybe its BTLooksmart who employ monkeys to bash randomnly on their keyboards - that would explain their performance.

Nah
No doubt it will get used up one day but not this year I reckon.

Running (almost) identicle campaigns on OvertureUk, Espotting and Bidsmart for a client and last week. Received 126, 54, 16 visitors respectively. The difference is that the cost per click on Looksmart is tiny at 5p/bid. So although the numbers are low, its good value :)

Hopefully the purchase of UKPlus will make a difference to the number of clicks.

We've had accounts since day one and it's only in the last few days that we've started to generate some clicks.

But, as omegadm points out, being an early adopter means you get two things:

1. Excellent value on the clicks you do get.
2. The chance to be a guinea pig and to test out the facility.

I actually like the interface, the editorial reviews are done very quickly, the trumping facility is useful.

Once they can deliver enough traffic things will become expensive, so in some respects I am happy with the 4 or 5 clicks a day at 5-10 pence each.
