Has anybody purchased the additional relevancy key words and noticed a boost in MSN as a result?

I've not purchased any additional keywords, but if I was looking at spending any more $ it would be with overture cost of the bid allowing

I wish that was the case. I can get a ROI on .15c, but not $1.15. All of the results above me on MSN seem to have been grandfathered in, and so I wonder if rolling the dice on the L$ KW shake down is worth a crack.

I've purchased the relevancy keywords and i don't think that I've appeared under ANY of the terms!

Of course L$ goes through my "free" money so fast, I wonder if I even make it into MSN before it's gone.

I really can't think of anything they could have done worse with the way they have rolled out their new service.

Received approval 2 days ago of an amended title and description plus relevancy keywords, some of which are not present elsewhere in the listing. The amendments were immediately live on the LS directory and up on MSN US this morning. At this time the relevancy keywords are working only on the Looksmart site and have no effect on MSN, where search results still relate only to title, description and domain name.

Thanks for the heads up Lembu, it seems pretty clear that its a waste of money then.

thank Lembu...
unbelievable...I was just considering adding the relivancy keywords for $49 and then thought I'd do some research...and alas...there you are!

Anyway...one thing that eeks me is that my Inktomi PPI listing that I purchased over a month ago is still using my LookSmart title and description...and so I thought perhaps the reason I am still not seeing my page through searches was because there are NO keywords in my LS listing...therefor the thought to add them.

I wrote PT about it and they answered me that Inktomi knows that this is a problem and that they are planning on solving it in the next weeks. (how many weeks they did not say).

I was actually searching for the thread about the LookSmart information in Inktomi listing, when I found this one...

Yes, I've been considering adding the relevancy keywords as well. I have no idea what effect these relevancy keywords have on rankings, but updating my title and description seems like it would have a positive effect on rankings. Though I loathe to give LS any more money, $29 ($49 - $20 activation coupon) really is a relatively very small amount of money to increase rankings. You guys agree? I'm hoping LS will rethink their strategy before my 20 months of the measly $15 of clicks is up.

Justin,
Have you listed with Inktomi?
Which search engine(s) are you trying to see results in?
I am not an expert, but after some reading and research and help from others on these boards, I found a way to be listed in MSN at all times, even when my 100 LS clicks are over.
During the LS 100 clicks I have a listing in the web directory portion of MSN, and also in the web pages results with Inktomi in MSN.
I submitted an interior page (of course optimized with meta tags, content, etc.) and am listed in the top three.
Just a thought.

I am considering updating my title/description to improve my results in MSN (MSN is the only engine that uses my LS description). I am currently #13 for my top keyword, and I am also listed in the MSN web directory. Am I listed in Inktomi? I'm not sure, I never paid for their inclusion service. I still also don't fully understand this free 100 clicks thing -- does this include every single one of LS partners? Or does it only include their partners if you are not already in that partner's web directory? .... Thanks :)
