I've been using overture for some time now, and have just hit the point where some third party management tool could help. Software or on-line site? What do you use? What's the best buy??

Many thanks for any and all help!!

Thanks, but this gives no commentary or pros/cons of each. Does anyone any experience with these tools?

i went on a trial of gotoast and found it tricky and confusing to set up properly so gave it up...

i then did a trial of clickpatrol and found it v.easy to setup and have stuck with it ever since and no longer have to check my bids on overture etc..

clickpatrol's monthly fee seems pretty pricey to me - has anyone tried BidRank? At least it's a one-time fee!

thats the software one isnt it ? i downloaded the trial and gave it a go but preferred clickpatrol - with myself having quite a few pricey keywords the cost isnt so bad considering it saves money where it can on bids... but yeah 70 usd is quite a bit of cash for what it basically is

I use BidRank and have been quite happy with it. You have a lot of options available for bid settings (max, min and "gap surfing" which finds a price/rank sweet spot based on your criteria).

You also have options for how often it checks and changes bids. I have it set up to change bids less frequently during the day while I'm at my desk. I just flip to the app every 30 mins and manually trigger a bid update with one click. Then, during the evening and night, I have it set to spread out my six Overture bid changes over the whole period.

Because it's a desktop app, you need to have it running on a machine with 24x7 access (if you want that kind of monitoring coverage).

I also like its bid logging and import/export features, since I use a database to keep track of terms and bid settings.

On the other hand, I did just notice that GoToast now covers Google too... might be time to explore that again...
