Now that Google's PPC service has been available for a while it would be great to share exerience and advice from those using it.

e.g.

1.) I have one experimental ad. it gets about 1%CTR and has resulted in about 10 enquiries in the last couple of months (not as good as I had hoped, but its not for a popular market).

2.) I think I am ready to start offering Google PPC to my clients to promote their sites. Is anyone else doing this? How do you charge?

On the Google toolbar you can choose which version to use (I prefer to use google.com). Although your IP address suggestion would be the logical way of dealing with it think AOL, they are deemed to be US based so the large number of UK AOL users would fall outside of your scope if it was purely an IP based solution.

Frankly, I'd suggest your better bet would be to select US and UK visitors and capture both, I've had better success for some of the offerings we have that way, but also more time wasters. If you are bidding 5 or 10 cents it's not a big deal but if you are bidding $2 plus it soon adds up.

I'm having trouble keeping myself above .4 and I know i need to get to .6 to stay in.
I have been looking for .05 words that don't get much competition. If I can't keep it at .5 and it gets booted out does that mean EACH campaign costs 5.00 to reactivate?

Do some people have many campaigns in order to have .05, .10, .20 cent listings (and of course different products)???
