Best PPC for Service Provider/Software Developer

What is the best PPC for ROI for the internet service provider?

For those of you in the service provider and internet software business (web hosting, asp hosting,cgi scripts, etc).. for small business owners, etc.

Are there any PPC engines that have worked well for you on ROI?

I have listings on Google which have brought in about 1%-3% CTR, but no verifyable ROI yet. ( It has only been 3 days though ).

I have read about findwhat.com as far as ROI, so I have signed up there. Any other recommendations? I would like to get a few sites setup at once, but I need to focus on what little $$ i have in this slow market the last couple of months.

ROI is somewhat dependent on your sites presentation and prduct/service price among other thing.

I'd test that 3 word phrase at Overture at 23 to 29 cents to determine YOUR ROI. btw 3 days over a holiday may not be a complete test.

This is true...

I guess I was more referring to "in general", assuming optimum site conditions, site flow, call to actions, etc.

I assumed the feedback I read on Findwhat was that it's visitors are in general more qualified buyers, and hence more apt to buy, vs just being in a directory that gives you lots of hits, but few actual buyers..
